Three films of the official programme of the Festa del Cinema di Roma 2017, which has been announced on October 10th, were part of the past editions of MIA|Cinema and NCN (New Cinema Network). They are The Girl in the Fog (La Ragazza nella Nebbia) by Donato Carrisi, adapted from the novel by the same author, at his first task as director, presented during MIA|Cinema 2016. The film, starring Toni Servillo and Alessio Boni, is produced by Colorado Film, Medusa Film, Gavila with the support of IDM Südtirol – Alto Adige Film Fund & Commission (BLS). The film is scheduled in the Preaperture (Pre-Opening) section of the Festa del Cinema.
The other films are Little Crusader (Krizácek) by Václav Kadrnka, winner of Karlovy Vary Festival 2017 (NCN 2013), produced by Artileria and Sirius Film and The Party by Sally Potter, a project of MIA|Cinema 2015 produced by Adventure Pictures and Oxwich Media. These films are scheduled respectively in the Official Selection and in the Tutti Ne Parlano (Everybody Talks About It) section.
