The new edition of What’s Next Italy, the Italian showcase of the work in progress Made in Italy cinema, was held yesterday, 12th October 2022.
On the stage of the Nuovo Cinema Barberini, Nick Vivarelli, moderator of the event, presented the projects for this year’s edition. Among the seven selected projects are two first works and two second works, confirming the openness to young talents already present in past years.
During this edition, international buyers were able to enjoy a clip of the featured projects presented by the director, producer and sales agent. Here are the project presented this year:
- Rossosperanza by Annarita Zambrano, a story of rebellion produced by Mad Entertainment, Ts Productions, Rai Cinema;
- Io vivo altrove directorial debut of Giuseppe Battiston inspired on a book by Gustave Flaubert produced by Rosamont, Minimum Fax Media, Tucker Film, Rai Cinema, Staragara;
- Like sheep among wolves by Lyda Patitucci, produced by Groenlandia with Rai Cinema;
- Superluna by Federico Bondi produced by Vivo film with Rai Cinema, and Tarantula;
- Patagonia by Simone Bozzelli produced by Wildside;
- Il Punto di rugiada by Marco Risi produced by Fandango with Rai Cinema;
- El Paraíso by Enrico Maria Artale produced by Ascent Film and Young Films with Rai Cinema.
